Yippee! We're moving forward!

Today, the Queen Committee had the honor of meeting five absolutely gorgeous young women from our area as the arrived for the Kitsap Fair & Stampede Queen Orientation! Not a terribly long meeting, but full of beautiful smiles, and beautiful personalities!

After covering the topics in the Orientation/Queen handbook (rules rules rules!), the ladies drew for their contestant sash numbers. Moving forward, these ladies will gain an extra name, that name being "Contestant Number #" preceeding their given name.

Nora Sethney (Queen Director), Rhianna Guevara (Treasurer), Mandy Milovich (2007 Miss Kitsap Fair & Stampede), Barbra Lawrence (a new volunteer bringing pageant experience to the committee), and Nina Beheim (Asst. Queen Director & Photographer) were in attendance for the orientation.

Our committe is blessed with many wonderful volunteers! Many past Kitsap Fair & Stampede Queens will join us in working with the girls at our workshop on Saturday, February 28th at Island Lake.

2009 Contestants are:

Contestant #1 - Alex Beddo
Contestant #2 - Christina Krawiecki

Everyone is so happy that Christina and her horse Blue are better and up and riding. Riding horses is so much fun but can be dangerous too. What happened was a freak accident that could happen to anyone! We are all grateful that both of you are doing fine. You make a beautiful Queen Chrissy, not just on the outside, but on the inside. You are a very caring and giving young lady and have always represented the Kitsap Saddle Club with pride and grace. Keep up the great work Miss Kitsap Fair and Stampede! Your friends at KSC
